Solve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

All the students out there, it's the time to rise and shine with google’s 2021 students solution challenge.

Your solution would be responsible for making the world, a better place by helping united nations in achieving sustainable developments goals which were agreed by 193 united nation member states.

Let's get started firstly by the United nation sustainable development goals for which a solution is needed using one or more technologies.

United nation 17 Sustainable development goals:

  • No poverty
  • Gender equality
  • Zero hunger
  • Clean water and sanitation
  • Good health and well-being
  • Affordable and clean energy
  • Quality education
  • Decent work and economic growth
  • Industry innovation and infrastructure.
  • Climate action
  • Reduced inequality
  • Life below water
  • Sustainable cities and communities
  • Life on land
  • Responsible consumption and production
  • Peace, justice and strong institutions
  • Partnerships for the goals

Technologies that can be used:

  • Android
  • Tensorflow
  • Google Cloud
  • Flutter
  • And any of your favourite google technology.

So you can use more than one technology in your solution, but make sure that at least one of the google technology is used. Also, you are not bound to solve a single problem with your solution, your solution can solve a couple of sustainable development goals.

Participation procedure:

  • Firstly, decide on which of the above mentioned Sustainable development goals are you planning to solve.
  • Visit goo.gle/solutionchallenge, Here you can register yourself.
  • Try to make a team of at least 2 developers, as this will help you in various ways Eg: For brainstorming and development as well.
  • Make sure to use at least one of the Google technology

  • Post in the comment at Google actual post: Link
  • You can add that in the comment of this post.

After participation

  • You will get Live online session with Q&A.
  • Mentorship from Google, Google Developer experts and other student clubs

Last date: March 31st

Postdeadline, once everyone has submitted the solution the evaluation and scoring will start for each submission.

As per the schedule, first 50 teams will be announced in the month of May, Out of those 50 teams, top 10 finalists will be announced who would submit an improved solution.

Finally, in August top 3 grand prize winner would be announced in a youtube live session of 2021 Google Solutions Challenge Demo Day.

Final Thoughts

If you are a student and have time which you can invest, I will recommend you should participate in this Google’s Solution Challenge. Even if you don't make up to the final round, the exposure which you would be getting will be incredible.

This is the kind of extracurricular activity in which a technology enthusiast must participate in.
